Dear Reader,
As we are all trying to find a new way forward, out of isolation and fear, we are reaching in so many directions at once. Reaching for normalcy or return. Reaching for newness and the unknown. Reaching for each other.
The poems, stories, and essays in this issue are acts of such reaching. These are impulses, messages, songs of the real and the imagined. They offer us glimpses of the beautiful, the weird, the traumatic, and the strong. They move us through time so we may recognize where we’ve been and where we might go from here.
These voices remind us that we are connected, even in our uncertainty or separation, through our reaching.
Sincerely,
Heather Bartlett
