Heather Bartlett is a poet, writer, and professor. Her debut poetry collection, Another Word for Hunger, is forthcoming from Sundress Publications in 2023. Her poetry and prose can be found in print and online in journals such as the Los Angeles Review, Ninth Letter, RHINO Poetry, and others. She holds an MFA in poetry from Hunter College and is a professor of English and Creative Writing at the State University of New York College at Cortland. She is the founding editor of Hoxie Gorge Review.

Keaona is a 22-year-old Brooklyn native and Professional Writing major at SUNY Cortland. Her work has been published in the Crystallize Review and Black Minds Magazine. She has served as an editor on three previous issues of Hoxie Gorge. She has self-published her first book, Shelter, Protection, and Unwatered Seeds. She is experimental, artistic, and forward-looking with her writing. She searches for work that creates enthusiasm and gravitates to work that explores soul, imagination, and depth.

Nick is a senior Professional Writing student at SUNY Cortland with a minor in Communication Studies. He enjoys writing poetry that explores the dark side of things and is currently working on a thriller novella/novel. Nick hopes to build a career as a professional and creative writer and editor.
Jaxyn Boyce

Jaxyn Boyce is a 20 year old Junior at SUNY Cortland who is majoring in Professional Writing. She has been published in Ke’lab, Common ground, and most recently, Dreaming of Ink. Jaxyn is passionate about poetry and nonfiction.

Amber Pierson enjoys a good cup of coffee and spending time with her son. She has writing in In Parenthesis, The Elevation Review, Multiplicity and a few other literary journals. When she isn’t writing you can find her outside, adventuring and exploring nature with her son.
